PALHEIRO GOLF

Opened in 1993, Palheiro Golf was designed by Cabell B.Robinson, within the property of a beautiful 200-year-old country estate, the «Quinta do Palheiro».
On this 18-hole course, set out over 6086 metres, there is a breathtaking view over the bay of Funchal, and a natural setting which includes a garden with over twenty endemic species of Madeira (including the Laurel) classified by Unesco as World Natural Heritage. As part of its commitment to the environment, only electrically powered buggies are now used at Palheiro Golf, which was renovated in 2003.
